Very disappointing that Panasonic's Customer Service refused to honor a year old camera that has a three year warranty.The repair facility claims a small dent on the Lumix DMC 100 is somehow responsible for DUST ON THE SENSOR.
The customer service department in NJ was not helpful. A BBB complaint has been filed. In addition beware that you will be charged $9.50 to simply speak to the Customer Service department. This is abominable for what was a company with a good reputation.
After repeated conversations with Panasonic the legal head of Panasonic argued that the camera had been scratched and that caused the warranty to be invalid.The issue of the poorly designed zoom lens, which on retraction causes dust to be brought into the interior of the camera causing dust on the sensor was not answered.
squashmedia wrote the review because of poor customer service at Panasonic and attached photo s. Reviewer claimed that he or she lost $650 and wants Panasonic to read this review and look into the issue (if any).
The most disappointing in user's experience was customer service attitude was argumentative. The author asks this business to immediately contact him/ her to briefly discuss his/ her negative experience with the company.
